“I’ve been running a private outbuilding restoration/technology upgrade and needed an AV partner for video, sound & smart home functionality.

This project was close to my heart, so I sought a supplier who could meet our creative, high-quality needs while being great to work with. With my electrical/technician background, I also wanted collaboration on unique integration requirements and a chance to expand my smart home knowledge. Over a year of collaboration deserves a more detailed review: Nothing was too much trouble. The perfect balance of professionalism and informality/being able to have a laugh made working together a pleasure. The quoting mechanism was smooth, and scheduling was flexible—even when other contractors caused delays, Avensys adapted without issue.

Ross’s communication was clear and detailed, a key factor in any successful project. Nick & Adam, the on-site technicians, exceeded expectations. They worked efficiently and installed everything flawlessly, and their expertise in hardware and associated software was evident. You rarely find this level of service today.

Products opted for guided by Ross’s advice included an 83″ Sony Bravia OLED screen, a 65″ Acquavision outdoor screen, Control4 automation with wall keypads, RF LED dimmers, multi-zone Artcoustic audio with Dolby Atmos powered by Denon, and Araknis networking. We also integrated third-party electric blinds, a motorised pool cover, swim jets, and a theatre lighting system. The result is simply perfect.

A special mention for Artcoustic: We needed premium audio in a gym, indoor pool house, and media/cinema room. Ross introduced me to Artcoustic’s custom home cinema speakers. After demos at Avensys’s showroom and Artcoustic’s UK HQ—where I met their passionate team and experienced their state-of-the-art setups—I was sold. Their speakers deliver stunning clarity and high efficiency and can be custom-matched to any décor.

The gym was fitted with full-range speakers, while in the pool area a perimeter array of IP-rated, humidity-resistant high/mid drivers to combat reverb was spec’d with “pelmet” subs for depth. The media/cinema room was awarded a 9.2.4 Dolby Atmos system. Even before calibration all the spaces sounded beautiful, but after the Avensys and Artcoustic experts ran their incredible calibration programs, the sound was out of this world—friends constantly say they’ve “never heard anything this good before”, and the cinema subs are quite special. Artcoustic is definitely my favourite home cinema speaker manufacturer now, beautiful to the ear and the eye.

As with any large install, minor post-install tweaks were needed, but Avensys responded instantly, keeping us just as happy as when the system was installed. If you’re considering a custom smart home/AV install, Avensys is the gold standard.”
